Minnesota Twins to Launch First 2008 Ad during Sunday's Super Bowl Broadcast
01/28/2008, MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Twins, in conjunction with advertising partner Periscope, today announced the first commercial of the 2008 "This is Twins Territory" campaign will debut during the first half of this year's Super Bowl on Sunday, February 3, 2008.
The first new ad of the 2008 season is entitled "Sandlot" and features players Michael Cuddyer, Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau at the site of the new Twins ballpark.
After some sandlot ball, the spot concludes with an unfortunate mishap for a fan of another team in the American League Central division and a surprise and humorous cameo appearance by a prominent Twins personality.
Other upcoming spots in the Twins' 2008 "This is Twins Territory" television campaign include appearances from players Pat Neshek and Delmon Young as well as Tony Oliva and Hall of Famers Harmon Killebrew and Rod Carew.
Following the Super Bowl, fans can view the new commercial at www.twinsbaseball.com. The remaining 2008 television spots are slated to debut in March.
