See programming, simulcast and streaming schedule below.
On Monday, Jan. 28, Mike & Mike in the Morning (6-10 a.m. ET M-F; simulcast on ESPN2; streamed on ESPNRadio.com), with co-hosts Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg, will kick off ESPN Radio’s on-site coverage. Colin Cowherd (The Herd, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. M-F; streamed on ESPNRadio.com) and Mike Tirico (The Mike Tirico Show, 1-3 p.m. M-F; simulcast on ESPN2 during ESPN Radio Super Week) will follow all week. Marc Kestecher, who will report from University of Phoenix Field during Tuesday’s “Media Day,” will also present ESPN Radio SportsCenter updates throughout the week.
FACT: Mike Tirico was ESPN Radio’s first Super Bowl voice, less than a month after the network launched (January 1, 1992), when he reported from the Metrodome in Minneapolis on January 26, 1992, when Washington beat Buffalo 37-24.
Super Week 2008 will also feature Super Bowl Countdown (4-10 p.m. W-F) with Erik Kuselias and John Seibel, and Super Bowl Roundtable (3-4 p.m. Thu.) with Tirico, Cowherd, Golic and Greenberg.
“Super Sunday” February 3 will feature special editions of ESPN Radio’s weekday morning programs from Bristol, Conn. Mike & Mike in the Morning (simulcast on ESPN2 followed by a two-hour “Best Of”) and The Herd with Colin Cowherd (streamed on ESPNRadio.com) will run in their regularly scheduled time slots. Kuselias will host a special pre-game show (1-6 p.m.), while Tirico will anchor a post-game program featuring interviews and analysis.
As a special for Internet users, www.espnradio.com will offer live webstreaming throughout Super Bowl Week. This will provide users with a behind-the-scenes look at the ESPN Radio sets and allow listeners to view and hear the action in Phoenix from their computers.
