Playboy Magazine Searches for Its 55th Anniversary Playboy Playmate

Junior Photo Editor and Co-Star of "The Girls Next Door" Holly Madison to Oversee Nationwide Search

LOS ANGELES, January 17, 2008 -- To commemorate its 55th anniversary, Playboy magazine is launching a multi-city tour in search of a very special 55th Anniversary Playmate. The fresh-faced winner will appear in the magazine's January 2009 issue and receive a $55,000 modeling contract (issue on newsstands December 2008).

Junior Photo Editor and "The Girls Next Door" star Holly Madison will oversee the nationwide search, which kicks off on January 16 at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles. "I am thrilled to be part of Playboy's search for its 55th Anniversary Playmate," said Holly. "We're looking for someone who is sexy, sophisticated, and the all-American girl next door."

Playboy photographers will travel across the U.S., interviewing candidates in each of the following cities:
