NPR News Offers Live Multi-Platform Coverage of the State of the Union Address, January 28
Coverage Begins 9:00PM (ET)
Washington, D.C.; January 24, 2008; – NPR News will offer live, comprehensive broadcast and webcast coverage of President George W. Bush’s final State of the Union Address and the Democratic response on Monday, January 28m beginning 9:00PM (ET).
The program will air on NPR member stations around the country, and can be heard online at www.NPR.org.
Robert Siegel, Senior Host of the NPR newsmagazine All Things Considered, anchors the special coverage. He will be joined by NPR News correspondents, political analysts and members of Congress providing analysis of a number of key themes in the President’s address.
January 29, the NPR newsmagazine Morning Edition will offer additional coverage, with post-address analysis and up-to-the-minute news from Capitol Hill.
In addition to offering the live audio stream of NPR’s complete coverage, NPR.org will also provide a comprehensive look at the President’s address, further analysis and reaction from key members of Congress, and additional audio clips.
The special broadcast continues the NPR News tradition of producing special programming for important news, including live coverage of the Iowa Caucus and New Hampshire primary as well as the recent death of Pakistan’s Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.
