Philadelphia Phillies Begin Winter Tour this Week

01/15/2008 -- The National League East Champion Phillies will travel hundreds of miles throughout the Delaware Valley to reach out to fans with their 39th Annual Winter Tour. Approximately twenty events are scheduled in a two-week period, with stops including various community endeavors, a mall autograph session, a new Kids Phest, Comcast SportsNet's Meet the Phillies live TV show taping, MLK Day of Service appearances, several banquets for charities, and online chats with players.

Highlights of the first week of the Phillies Winter Tour are listed below.

Winter Tour Week 1:

Wednesday, Jan. 16
• Online chat with outfielder Pat Burrell, 5:15 p.m., Phillies.com.

Thursday, Jan.17
• Online chat featuring All-Star Chase Utley, 3:30 p.m., Phillies.com.
• Tour of the Peter J. McGovern Little League Museum (525 Route 15 Highway, South Williamsport, PA) at 3:45 p.m. Attending: Catcher Chris Coste, pitcher Kyle Kendrick, Hall of Fame broadcaster Harry Kalas and Director of Minor Leagues Steve Noworyta. MEDIA EVENT ONLY.
