St. Louis Cardinals, Toronto Blue Jays Complete Swap of Third Basemen
Troy Glaus headed to St. Louis, Scott Rolen to Toronto
01/14/2008, ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Cardinals today announced they have received the necessary approvals from both Major League Baseball and the team's medical staff and have completed a trade in which they have acquired third baseman Troy Glaus from the Toronto Blue Jays for third baseman Scott Rolen.
Out of respect to Marty Hendin, the team's Vice President of Community Relations who passed away this weekend, and his family, the Cardinals will not be holding any press briefings regarding today's announcement until Wednesday afternoon.
