DoD Identifies Army Casualty: Sgt. Peter C. Neesley, 28, of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan
December 26, 2007 -- The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Peter C. Neesley, 28, of Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan, died Dec. 25 in Baghdad, Iraq, of an undetermined cause in a non-combat environment.
He was assigned to the 3rd Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga.
The circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation.
