DoD Identifies Navy Casualty: Chief Petty Officer Mark T. Carter, 27, of Fallbrook, California
December 13, 2007 -- The Department of Defense announced today the death of a sailor who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Chief Petty Officer Mark T. Carter, 27, of Fallbrook, California, died Dec. 11, as a result of enemy action while conducting combat operations in Iraq.
He was permanently assigned as an East Coast-based Navy SEAL.
