Ron Paul: Ron Paul Rallies with Over 200 Iowa Students
November 19, 2007 -- IOWA CITY, IOWA—Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul rallied with over 200 University of Iowa students over the weekend. The 10-term Texas congressman and rising 2008 GOP White House contender met with students at a University of Iowa-Western Michigan University noontime tailgate in Iowa City on Sunday.
“Dr. Paul enjoys great support from college students all across this country who are worried about America’s future,” said Paul campaign spokesman Jesse Benton. “They have a lot at stake—from Social Security to the curtailing of their civil liberties and the prospect of a draft, the youth of America want a new voice of change and freedom, which only Ron Paul delivers.”
240 Students for Ron Paul chapters and thousands of college student supporters nationwide are organized at studentsforpaul.org and social networking sites such as myspace.com and facebook.com.
