Tuesday, November 13, 2007 -- "Bitter Sweets" - A vindictive taffy shop owner (guest star Molly Shannon as Dilly Balsam) sets up shop down the street from The Pie Hole, determined to drive Ned out of business by any means necessary, on "Pushing Daisies," WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 28 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Writer/actor Michael White ("The School of Rock," "The Good Girl") guest stars as Dilly's brother, Billy.
Editors note: This program replaces the episode of "Private Practice" which had been scheduled.
"Pushing Daisies" stars Lee as Ned, Anna Friel as Chuck, Chi McBride as Emerson Cod, Ellen Greene as Vivian, with Swoosie Kurtz as Lily and Kristin Chenoweth as Olive Snook. Jim Dale is the narrator.
Guest starring in "Bitter Sweets" are Molly Shannon as Dilly Balsam, Michael White as Billy Balsam, Field Cate as young Ned, Sy Richardson as the coroner, Raul Esparza as Alfredo, Nicholas Khayyat as Eugene, Reginald Veneziano as Tony, Abbe Meryl as Tina and Michael Cornacchia as Burly Bruce.
"Bitter Sweets" was written by Abby Gewanter and directed by Allan Kroeker.
"Pushing Daisies" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning. A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to airdate.
This episode of "Pushing Daisies" will be available on ABC.com the day after airing on the network for users to watch online.
