"The View's" Elisabeth Hasselbeck Husband, NFL QB Tim Hasselbeck, Welcome a Baby Boy
Mom to Reveal Her Baby's Name Monday, Live, on "The View"
Monday, November 12, 2007 -- On Friday, Nov. 9 at 7:56 AM (Mountain Time), 30-year-old Elisabeth Hasselbeck, a co-host of ABC Daytime's "The View" and her husband, NFL Quarterback Tim Hasselbeck, welcomed the birth of their second child, a son, in a local Arizona hospital. The baby weighs 7 pounds 15 ounces. The couple have been married for five years. Mrs. Hasselbeck announced her pregnancy April 30 on "The View."
"Elisabeth and I are happy to announce the arrival of our son and we're thrilled he arrived safely. Both mom and son are happy and healthy" said Tim Hasselbeck via telephone today. Mr. Hasselbeck added "Grace is so excited to be a big sister."
The Hasselbecks headed to Arizona with their two-year-old daughter, Grace Elisabeth, after Mr. Hasselbeck signed with the Arizona Cardinals. Mrs. Hasselbeck originally planned to work until Nov. 9 but, after the news, she left for an early maternity leave on Tuesday, Oct. 23.
"It was not easy to leave my co-hosts and our crew early, but it was more than clear to me that I want my family to be under the same roof when our baby arrived," she said via email earlier this week.
Mrs. Hasselbeck has decided to reveal her son's name on Monday's "The View" (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET) during phone a call to her fellow co-hosts.
