"The Oprah Winfrey Show" Announces Big Stars and Even Bigger Surprises in Store for November Sweeps
THURSDAY, November 1, 2007, Chicago, IL — They are some of the biggest names in the world — Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington, Celine Dion and Forest Whitaker — and they are all coming to The Oprah Winfrey Show this November. First, the month kicks off on Friday, November 2, with the haircut heard around the world, as Oprah plays barber to two-time Academy Award® winner Hilary Swank and 100 audience members receive makeovers from top celebrity hairstylists in Oprah's Great American Haircut. Then, on Monday, November 5, "America's Doctor" Dr. Oz wraps a two-part special that blows the lid off aging in America. On Tuesday, November 6, Oprah meets some of YouTube's® biggest stars along with its billionaire founders.
Then, on Friday, November 9, the performers that America has loved for 50 years — the Osmonds — reunite on the Oprah show stage for a once-in-a-lifetime performance. Donny, Marie and over 100 Osmonds will come together for a family reunion unlike any other. Next, on Monday, November 12, Celine Dion treats her fans to intimate performances of her greatest hits and treats viewers to a rare interview. On Tuesday, November 13, America's hottest designer Nate Berkus surprises the winners of the O At Home Knock Knock It's Nate contest.
Oprah announces her next selection for Oprah's Book Club on Wednesday, November 14. And on Monday, November 19, she welcomes two of Hollywood's brightest stars as Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks take the Oprah show stage to talk about their new holiday film, Charlie Wilson's War. One week later, on Monday, November 26, Oprah welcomes the stars of the much-anticipated upcoming film The Great Debaters — Denzel Washington and Forest Whitaker.
And finally, it's the show that everyone will be talking about…the return of Oprah's Favorite Things. After a year off, the year's most exciting hour of television returns with unexpected surprises in store for one lucky, unsuspecting audience. Stay tuned in November for even more surprises.
