November 2, 2007 -- TALLAHASSEE – Florida Governor Charlie Crist today announced Christopher Kise will serve as Special Advisor to the Governor on Energy and Climate Change. Kise most recently served as Counsellor to the Governor.
“Chris has been a driving force in our administration, and I am pleased he will continue to serve in this new capacity,” said Governor Crist. “Chris’ stewardship on some of the most important issues to the people of our state – auto and property insurance, energy and global climate change – will have great impact on our state for years to come.”
Kise spearheaded such issues as personal injury protection reform, property insurance reform, transportation, the hurricane catastrophe fund and energy and climate change initiatives. Kise previously served as Solicitor General for then-Attorney General Charlie Crist. He will return to private law practice later this month.
“It has been an honor to serve the people of Florida under the leadership of this great Governor,” said Kise. “Governor Crist is providing national leadership on energy and global climate change in the state of Florida, and I am thrilled to support those efforts in this new role.”
