California Gov. Announces Meeting of State Officials to Discuss Recovery Efforts for Southern California Wildfires
10/25/2007 -- California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger today announced he will hold a meeting tomorrow with California’s elected officials and cabinet officers to address the state’s response to the southern California wildfires and what actions are needed to quickly recover.
“I have spent the past several days touring the wildfires all over southern California and the damage is overwhelming. As leaders of this state, we have an obligation to put aside partisan differences and address how we can work together to help our citizens recover from this tragedy,” said Governor Schwarzenegger. “The full resources of this state should be singularly focused on rebuilding what has been lost and helping Californians get their lives back together.”
