2007 MLB World Series Schedule on ESPN Radio
Baseball Tonight To Originate Live From Game Sites
October 22, 2007 -- ESPN Radio’s season-long Major League Baseball coverage will culminate with live broadcasts of each World Series game, beginning with Game 1 when Matt Holliday and the Colorado Rockies visit David Ortiz and the Boston Red Sox Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. ET. Jon Miller (who has called every ESPN Radio World Series broadcast) will call the Fall Classic with analyst Joe Morgan (working his eighth straight World Series), while Jon Sciambi, analyst Dave Campbell and reporter Peter Pascarelli will contribute to pre- and post-game broadcasts. ESPN Radio broadcasts MLB coverage to more than 350 full-time affiliates. ESPN Radio World Series schedule:

Additionally, ESPN’s Baseball Tonight will originate live from the game sites, providing highlights, news and information with post-game shows. Karl Ravech will host with analysts John Kruk, Steve Phillips and Dusty Baker. Baseball Tonight commentators, including reporters Peter Gammons, Tim Kurkjian (reporting on the Red Sox) and Pedro Gomez (reporting on the Rockies), will also contribute to SportsCenter’s daily pre-and post-game World Series coverage featuring interviews and team news conferences. Chris Berman will anchor SportsCenter’s coverage Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 24-25.
Baseball Tonight will present a World Series Special breaking down the main storylines and highlighting key players Tuesday, Oct. 23 at 8 p.m. (re-airing at 10 p.m.) on ESPN2. Ravech will host with analysts Kruk, Phillips and Baker and reporters Gammons and Kurkjian. Additional topics will include the Rockies’ historic run, unforgettable moments in 2007 and predictions. Following the World Series Special will be the Best of Baseball Tonight Web Gem Awards, in which Ravech, Kruk and Phillips will review the most spectacular defensive plays from the 2007 season including the “Best of the Best,” position-by-position awards, and the Top 10 Web Gems of the Year.

ESPN International
ESPN International will distribute the World Series to over 31 million homes in 146 countries including those in Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and New Zealand. The ESPN-owned North American Sports Network (NASN), a London-based European sports network, will present comprehensive World Series coverage, including every game, ESPN’s Baseball Tonight and the weekly This Week in Baseball.
ESPN Deportes Radio
For the fourth consecutive year, ESPN Deportes Radio will offer exclusive Spanish-language World Series broadcasts, beginning with Game 1 – when the Boston Red Sox host the Colorado Rockies Wednesday, Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. Jaime Jarrín, a Hall of Fame broadcaster and long-time radio voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Spanish-language broadcasts, will be joined by analyst and Hall of Fame pitcher Juan Marichal and Eduardo Ortega, who regularly provides analysis during San Diego Padres games. Renato Bermudez will serve as field reporter. The World Series on ESPN Deportes Radio will be carried by more than 40 affiliates across the U.S.

ESPNEWS’ comprehensive coverage will include in-depth previews and reviews of every game, featuring all pre- and post-game news conferences, as well as detailed statistical breakdowns (hit charts, pitching charts, etc.) and full box scores. ESPNEWS will also present extended segments with Baseball Tonight commentators and other ESPN baseball reporters and analysts, as well as daily reports from each team’s beat writers.

ESPN.com will provide comprehensive coverage with previews, expert predictions, and reports from every game. Additionally, fans can partake in real-time, in-game chats with ESPN.com baseball experts about on-field action; catch up on the latest news by watching the Baseball Tonight Minute, a daily, one-minute wrap up from the TV show; and listen to the Baseball Today podcast, in which Peter Pascarelli interviews top players and managers. Diamond Daily, a staple of the site’s regular-season coverage offering daily MLB news and information, will also continue. The Inside Edge will provide detailed scouting data, including pitching report cards after every game and the daily “Three Things to Watch” file.
ESPN Classic
ESPN Classic’s post-season programming will include seven hours of condensed classic World Series games Saturday, Oct. 27:

Additionally, on the night following the final World Series game, ESPN Classic will feature another edition of its In the Books studio show at 10 p.m. (re-airing at midnight; 9 p.m. PT). The program will include Baseball Tonight commentators breaking down the series and putting the 2007 edition of the Fall Classic into historical perspective.
ESPN MVP
ESPN alerts will be sent to fans across all wireless carriers for each game, keeping fans up-to-date with every scoring play, inning updates, and final scores. Fans with ESPN MVP can receive the information as multimedia alerts. In addition to the Gamecast, where fans can follow games pitch-by-pitch, ESPN MVP will feature pages allowing fans to track scores, stories and stats.
