Arkansas Governor Beebe Declares Two Counties Disaster Areas Due To Tornado And Thunderstorm Damage
Oct 19, 2007 -- LITTLE ROCK – Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe has declared Crittenden and Lincoln Counties state disaster areas due to the damage caused by thunderstorms and tornadoes on Wednesday, October 17 and early Thursday, October 18.
The declaration releases $100,000 from the Governor’s Disaster Fund to be used by the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management through the Individual Assistance Program. Affected residents in both counties can apply for assistance at their local Department of Human Services offices beginning Monday, October 22.

Preliminary damage assessments are being conducted in each county to determine the extent and amount of damage.
