Gary Ginsberg Appointed Head of Global Marketing at News Corporation
- Gary Ginsberg Joins Office of the Chairman
- Expands Existing Role as EVP of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications
NEW YORK, NY (October 16, 2007) – Gary Ginsberg, Executive Vice President for Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at News Corporation, has been given additional responsibilities as head of global marketing and appointed to the Office of the Chairman. Mr. Ginsberg will assume the new title of Executive Vice President of Global Marketing and Corporate Affairs.
In his expanded role, Mr. Ginsberg, 45, will coordinate the Company’s marketing efforts around the world. He will continue to direct News Corporation’s corporate affairs, including investor and media relations, community outreach and philanthropic programs. Mr. Ginsberg will report to News Corporation’s Chairman and CEO, Rupert Murdoch, as well as the Company’s President and COO, Peter Chernin, and the CFO, David DeVoe.
In announcing the promotion, Mr. Murdoch said: “Gary’s energy and integrity have helped to expand and improve the Company’s communications with investors, the press and community groups in recent years. His creative leadership and extensive knowledge of our operations worldwide perfectly position him to lead a renewed focus on marketing our brands and assets globally. I also look forward to Gary adding his voice to the strong opinions and sound judgments of our leadership team in the Office of the Chairman.”
The Office of the Chairman comprises Rupert Murdoch, Peter Chernin, David DeVoe, General Counsel Lon Jacobs, Deputy CFO John Nallen, and FOX News Channel, Fox Television Stations and Twentieth Television Chairman Roger Ailes.
