10/10/2007, ATLANTA -- Atlanta Braves Manager Bobby Cox and his wife Pam will host the 3rd Annual Paws Because Fundraising Event on Saturday, November 17th from 8 p.m. to midnight at the 755 Club at Turner Field. Join Bobby, his wife Pam and Braves players and coaches and other local celebrities as they bring a taste of Las Vegas to Atlanta.

The casino-themed evening will present guests with the opportunity to play black jack, dice and roulette, as well as challenge their favorite Braves players to games such as billiards, air hockey and NASCAR and golf simulators. In addition, a silent auction and a live auction with memorabilia from Jeff Francoeur, John Smoltz, Chipper Jones and many other professional athletes will be available to bid on, as well as trips to Napa Valley and a Big Game Hunting Trip to Colorado. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Homeless Pets Foundation.

Homeless Pets is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization run by a volunteer staff. Founded in 1998 by Dr. Mike Good, Homeless Pets provides critical medical care, food, foster care and comfort to abused and abandoned animals In the Atlanta area alone, more than 100,000 animals are destroyed each year for lack of a home. Over 1,000 animals have been rescued by Dr. Good and his team since 2002.
