Lynne Cheney to Appear on 'The Daily Show With Jon Stewart' Wednesday, Oct, 10
NEW YORK, Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Lynne Cheney will make her first appearance as a guest on the Emmy(R) and Peabody(R) Award-winning "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" on Wednesday, October 10 at 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT). Lynne Cheney is promoting her new tome "Blue Skies, No Fences: A Memoir of Childhood and Family" which hits stores on Tuesday, October 9.
In "Blue Skies, No Fences: A Memoir of Childhood and Family" (Threshold Editions, October 2007), Cheney re-creates the years after World War II in a small town on the high plains of the West. Portraying an era that started with the Ink Spots on the Zenith Radio in her family's living room and ended with Elvis on the jukebox at the local canteen, she tells of coming of age in a time when the country seemed in control of its destiny and individual Americans in charge of theirs.
