10/04/2007, MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers today announced the Club's tentative 2008 regular season schedule that will begin on Monday, March 31 at 1:20 p.m. at Wrigley Field against the Chicago Cubs. The Season Opener marks the first time since 2005 that the club has opened on the road. The Miller Park Home Opener will take place on Friday, April 4 at 1:05 p.m. as the San Francisco Giants begin their only 2008 visit to Milwaukee. It will mark the Club's 39th Home Opener and their 11th as a member of the National League.
After an opening three-game series in Chicago (March 31, April 2-3), the April 4 contest will begin a six-game, seven-day homestand that will feature three games with the Giants and three games with the Cincinnati Reds.
In Interleague Play, Milwaukee will host their super-rival, the Minnesota Twins, for three games beginning on June 13 and ending on Father's Day, June 15. The Brewers will play at Minnesota (June 27 - 29) and at Boston (May 16 - 18) to cap off Interleague Play. It will mark the first time the Brewers have played at Fenway Park since the 1997 season.
The Brewers will host two, 10-game homestands in 2008. The first will begin on the Fourth of July with the start of a three-game weekend series against the Pittsburgh Pirates, continue with four games against the Colorado Rockies (July 7 - 10) and conclude with three games against the Reds (July 11 - 13). The Brewers second 10-game homestand will commence on Labor Day with the first of a four-game series against the New York Mets (Sept. 1 - 4), followed by three games against the San Diego Padres (Sept. 5 - 7) and three more against the Reds (Sept. 9 - 11).

In addition, the Brewers today also announced ticket pricing for the 2008 campaign. In 2007, the Brewers were ranked by Team Marketing Report's annual survey as the third most-affordable fan experience in all of Major League Baseball. The Brewers average ticket price for the 2008 season will be $19.90 as compiled by Team Marketing Report's criteria. This will remain well below the Major League average from 2007, which was $22.69.
"We place a high priority on keeping prices reasonable for all fans, and we're pleased to remain among one of the best values in all of Major League Baseball," said Brewers Executive Vice President - Business Operations Rick Schlesinger. "We were thrilled to set a new all-time Brewers attendance record this year and know that fan support is critical to the success of the organization. As has been demonstrated in the past, we remain committed to re-investing incremental gains in ticket revenue back into what matters most to the fans - the team and Miller Park experience."
Over the past three years, the Brewers and Miller Park have ranked at or near the top in fan and media surveys in terms of the overall "Fan Experience," including top marks in the last two SI.com polls. The experience will continue to improve in 2008 with new enhancements to the ballpark and with savings opportunities on tickets or food for at least 54 of the team's 81 home games.
Beginning with the upcoming season, the Brewers will introduce a new benefit for existing Season Seat Holders. By renewing prior to Nov. 15, 2007, existing Season Seat Holders will receive additional savings on their ticket plans. In addition, 11 home games on the Brewers schedule will be listed as "Marquee" games. All Season Seat Holders will receive tickets to these "Marquee" games at Season Seat prices.
Season Seat Holder prices are as low as $9 per ticket (Terrace Reserved). Other prices for full and partial season plans will range from $14 in the Terrace Box to $38 in the Field Infield Box. Individual ticket prices will start at $8 in Bernie's Terrace and continue up to $45 in the Field Infield Box. Prices for both individual game and Season Seat Holder tickets will increase by an average of nine percent over 2007.
Season Seat Holder plans are now on sale for 2008. Fans needing information may call the Brewers sales office at 414-902-HITS or visit brewers.com.
