October 03, 2007 -- NME.COM – the international 24/7 music website – is today celebrating after scooping one of the digital industry's top awards.

The IPC Ignite website scooped the Best Music Magazine award for the second year in a row last night at the BT Digital Music Awards, which remain the UK's only awards that are completely dedicated to digital music.

Judges at the star-studded bash at London's Roundhouse singled out NME.COM for its unmatched reputation as being the best one-stop shop for music news.

NME editor Conor McNicholas said, "It's fantastic to win an accolade like this in front of the rest of the music industry. Our friends from all the major record labels and live music companies were there to see us pick up the award. Roll on the AOPs tonight!"

The AOP – Association of Online Publishers – hosts its awards tonight, for which NME.COM is nominated for a Digital Creativity award for its coverage of the Glastonbury festival.

Publishing director Paul Cheal added, "In the face of ever-increasing competition for the prize, NME.COM once again picking up the BT Digital Music Award for Best Music Magazine is testament to the site's ongoing ability to both innovate and excite."
