EMI Music's Digital Repertoire Adds to Germany's Largest Music Catalogue

With the addition of EMI Music's digital repertoire, Weltbild.de now offers Germany's largest catalogue of higher quality, DRM-free MP3 tracks

1 October 2007 -- German online retailer Weltbild-download.de has added EMI’s premium quality, downloads, which come without Digital Rights Management (DRM) restrictions, to its music catalogue. The tracks are available as 320kb/s MP3 files and are on sale now.

“With this improved sound quality, even classical and jazz titles finally become true digital listening experiences,” said Dr Klaus Driever, Managing Director of the Weltbild publishing group. “Individual tracks are for sale at €1.49 meaning they cost only 10 to 20 cents more than the same song with DRM protection, while we are selling albums without DRM at no extra charge.”

With more than 150,000 tracks from the top British music label EMI, whose artists include Robbie Williams, Norah Jones, LaFee and Sunrise Avenue among many others, Weltbild-Downloads.de is now offering the largest collection of DRM-free downloads in Germany. Overall Weltbilt has around 850,000 tracks available from its internet shop, costing as little as € 0.49.

Weltbild.de sells more than 2,500,000 products: books, DVDs, CDs, software & games, electronic articles and downloads. The internet media retailer is among the ten largest online shops in Germany.
