The club opens the season on the road for the first time in seven years (since 2000) and for only the fourth time in the last 27 seasons.

Opening Day at Minute Maid Park will be on April 7 against the St. Louis Cardinals, and the opening homestand of the 2007 season includes three games each against the Cardinals (April 7-9) and the Florida Marlins (April 11-13). Houston also closes the season at Minute Maid Park, with a six-game homestand that includes three games each against the Cincinnati Reds (Sept. 23-25) and the Atlanta Braves (Sept. 26-28).

The schedule features three home series vs. the Cardinals, including two weekend matchups (June 6-8, Aug. 29-31), and the midweek series that opens the 2007 home slate (April 7-9). Other key series at Minute Maid Park include three-game sets with both the Milwaukee Brewers (May 2-4, June 10-12), Chicago Cubs (May 19-21, July 18-20, Sept. 12-14) and New York Mets (Aug. 1-3); four-game series with the Philadelphia Phillies (May 22-25), Los Angeles Dodgers (June 30-July 3) and San Francisco Giants (Aug. 11-14); and a two-game series vs. San Diego (April 21-22). The club will also host the Arizona Diamondbacks in a three-game weekend set from Aug. 15-17.

Houston's home Interleague slate features contests against the American League Eastern Division's New York Yankees (June 13-15) and Boston Red Sox (June 27-29) during two weekend series in June. The Astros will also face the Texas Rangers at Minute Maid Park in the second half of the Seventh Annual Lone Star Series (June 24-26), as Texas' two Major League teams will once again battle for the coveted Silver Boot trophy. The 2008 series will mark the first regular-season visits to Minute Maid Park for both the Red Sox and Yankees.

Astros regular-season weekday games at Minute Maid Park are scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m. Non-nationally televised Saturday home games are scheduled to begin at 6:05 p.m., while Sunday home games are slated to start at 1:05 p.m.
