The road to the MLS Cup starts here!

09/25/2007, HOUSTON -- With four weeks left to play in the regular season, the Houston Dynamo have already clinched a spot in the 2007 MLS Cup Playoffs.

Now, fans have the opportunity to get behind their team as they look to defend the MLS Cup title. The organization has announced that playoff tickets are currently on sale.

Fans can purchase tickets at www.houstondynamo.com or all Ticketmaster outlets.

Regular season pricing remains in effect for the 2007 Western Conference Semifinal.

Fans are encouraged to get their seats early as a capacity crowd is expected. Last season's Western Conference Final drew more than 23,000 people, although fans had less than a week's notice. This year, fans will have a minimum of five weeks notice to plan for the playoffs.

"Houston is definitely a playoff market. People get into the playoff spirit and support their hometown teams like no other city. We saw it here last year, and that fan support was very critical to our success. We are going to pack Robertson Stadium again and create a major home field advantage," said Dynamo President and General Manager Oliver Luck.

The team is offering a special Playoff Pack that includes four tickets and a parking pass for $59.95.

Season ticket holders already have tickets to this game as part of their package. The ticket is listed as "Bonus B" in the season ticket strip.

The Dynamo will host at least one Western Conference Semifinal match at Robertson Stadium, part of a two-game aggregate series. The team's playoff home date will be determined by its final place in the standings. It will be either Saturday, October 27th (should they finish 3rd in the Western Conference) or Saturday, November 3 (should they finish 1st or 2nd).

Currently, the Houston Dynamo sit in second place in the West. They could finish anywhere from 1st to 3rd place. If the playoffs were to start today, the Men in Orange would host interstate rival FC Dallas on Saturday, November 3 in the 2nd leg of the Conference Semifinals.

Houston's next contest is, coincidentally, against FC Dallas, this Sunday, September 30, at Pizza Hut Park (Radio: 850 AM, 101.7 FM; TV: Telefutura). Kickoff for this match is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. CT.
