BURBANK, September 25, 2007 . . . Talented rockers the Jonas Brothers -- 19-year-old Kevin, 18-year-old Joseph and 15-year-old Nick -- will star in a new comedy/spy series, "J.O.N.A.S." for Disney Channel. The series is scheduled to begin production early next year for premiere in 2008. The brothers also star in "Camp Rock," a music-filled Disney Channel Original Movie in production in Toronto now; and a concert special, "Jonas Brothers in Concert," originating from New York's Gramercy Park, airing SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT) on Disney Channel. The announcement was made today by Gary Marsh, President, Entertainment, Disney Channel Worldwide. All three projects will also air on Disney Channel around the world.

Their sophomore album, “Jonas Brothers,” released in August by Hollywood Records, is currently at #25 on the Billboard Top 200 chart after debuting at #5. Five Jonas Brothers songs are on Radio Disney's Top 30 chart, and when the brothers were guest DJs on Radio Disney on July 25, listener call volume spiked over 300% that afternoon. Their single "S.O.S" went to #1 on the iTunes chart and, when added to the playlist at powerhouse radio station Z100 in New York, was the #1 most requested song overnight. The music video for "S.O.S." made its MTV debut last week and is currently #6 on the TRL countdown. They recently completed a sold-out U.S. headline tour and in October, will embark on a 54-date arena tour as part of the Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus Best of Both Worlds concert.
In making the announcement, Marsh said: "Kevin, Joe and Nick are the real deal -- incredible musicians, phenomenal performers, charismatic stars. An act like Jonas Brothers doesn't come along very often. This is a giant coup for Disney Channel!"
Raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey, and now making their home in Los Angeles, the Hollywood Records recording artists first came to the attention of Radio Disney in early 2005 and were added to its playlist in October 2005. Since then, they recorded the theme song to Disney Channel's animated series "American Dragon: Jake Long," and that music video, along with music videos for their popular songs "Poor Unfortunate Souls," "Year 3000" and "S.O.S.," among others, have been regularly featured on Disney Channel. They also appeared on last year's "The Little Mermaid: 2-Disc Special Edition Soundtrack" and the fourth and fifth editions in the "Disneymania" album
franchise. Last summer they were showcased in a concert special from the "Disney Channel Games" at Walt Disney World in Orlando, and last month they guest starred in an episode of "Hannah Montana" which was basic cable's #1 series telecast of all time in Total Viewers (10.7 million), Kids 6-11 (4.2 million) and Tweens 9-14 (4.1 million).
"J.O.N.A.S." is a live-action spy comedy in which they play young operatives for the government, thwarting evil while undercover as a teen rock band. To the world they are super stars, but to the bad guys they are super spies, better known as Junior Operatives Networking as Spies (J.O.N.A.S.). Set to premiere in 2008, the single-camera comedy from Turtle Rock Productions, Inc. is executive-produced by Michael Curtis (Disney Channel's "Phil of the Future," "Friends") and Roger Schulman ("Phil of the Future," "Shrek").
In "Camp Rock," scheduled to premiere next year as part of the blockbuster Disney Channel Original Movie franchise, the Jonas Brothers star as members of a leading musical group, Connect 3, one of whom has become a guest instructor at the camp in an effort to counter his bad boy rocker image. Also among the campers is Mitchie Torres, a teen girl with an extraordinary voice and a driving ambition to be a pop singer, who can only spend her summer at the camp by helping her mom work in the mess hall between classes. When Shane (Joe Jonas) overhears Mitchie singing from behind closed doors, he sets out to find the girl with the beautiful voice. "Camp Rock," written by Julie Brown ("Earth Girls Are Easy") & Paul Brown, Regina Hicks & Karen Gist (Disney Channel's "Jump In!"), is directed by Academy Award nominee and Emmy Award-winning Matthew Diamond ("Desperate Housewives," "Men in Trees") and is in production now.
A special presentation, "Jonas Brothers in Concert," will air SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6 (8:00 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney Channel. Featured are songs from their album "Jonas Brothers," including "S.O.S.," "Hold On," "That's Just the Way We Roll" and "Just Friends," among others.
