Minnesota Twins' 2007 Attendance Third Highest in Team History

09/23/2007, MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Twins' 2007 total attendance of 2,296,383 is the third highest single-season attendance total in team history. This marks the ninth time in the Twins' 47 years the team has drawn more than two million fans in a season. This is also the first time since 1991-93 that the team has drawn two million-plus fans in three consecutive seasons.

Other attendance highlights from the 2007 Twins season include the following:

* The Twins surpassed the one million "tickets sold" milestone three weeks prior to Opening Day, the earliest date the club had done so since 1993.
* The Twins surpassed the 10,000 mark in total season tickets sold for the second time in club history and the first time since 1993.
* The Twins surpassed the two million mark in total attendance in 69 games, the fourth fastest in team history.
* The 10-game homestand July 12 - July 22 drew 342,787 fans (an average of 34,279 per game) to the Metrodome, making it the Twins largest 10-game homestand attendance total since August 1992 when the team drew 336,668 fans (an average of 33,667 per game).
