September 20, 2007 -- On Tuesday, Sept. 25, just two days after the Atlanta Falcons’ first home game without quarterback Michael Vick, who has pleaded guilty to charges of involvement with dogfighting, ESPN will convene a live Town Meeting in Atlanta to examine the repercussions of the story that shocked the city and the nation.

With Michael Vick facing a possible jail sentence, and the winless Falcons scoring just one touchdown in their two losses, ESPN’s 6-7:30 p.m. ET SportsCenter Special: The Vick Divide -- An ESPN Town Meeting will focus on how Vick’s situation has divided Atlanta -- in some cases along racial lines -- whether he was treated fairly, if his apology was sincere, and his chances of returning to the NFL.

The Special, hosted by Bob Ley from the Sydney J. Marcus Auditorium adjacent to the Georgia Dome, will feature a panel of personalities and newsmakers, including Neal Boortz, well-known Atlanta radio host (WSB-AM 750), Terrence Mathis, former Falcons wide receiver and teammate who remains close to Vick, Terence Moore, Atlanta Journal-Constitution columnist, and Selena Roberts, columnist for the New York Times. Additional panelists will be named prior to September 25.

ESPN Radio will present an audio simulcast of the televised Town Meeting. ESPN.com will produce a live Webcast of the Town Meeting.
