Grand Auction Items to Include the Chance to Have a Character Named After You and Lunch with Bobbie Eakes of "All My Children"

Thursday, September 20, 2007 -- ABC Daytime is proud to continue its association with Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids (BCEFA) by participating for the second consecutive year in the annual Broadway Cares Flea Market and Grand Auction, Sunday September 23, from 10:00 a.m. -- 7:00 p.m. in New York's famous Shubert Alley (between West 44th and 45th Streets).

Throughout the day popular stars from "The View," "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" will make scheduled appearances and greet fans.

Daytime's Grand Auction items include a chance to have your name used for a character on your favorite ABC daytime drama, as well as the chance to have lunch at ABC studios with Bobbie Eakes (Krystal Carey of "All My Children").

Once again ABC Daytime is selling numerous authentic, one-of-a-kind items, ranging from autographed memorabilia to authentic wardrobe and collectable vintage merchandise from "The View," "All My Children," "One Life to Live" and "General Hospital." 100% of the proceeds will benefit BCEFA.

Among the exclusive items to be sold are:

* Dolce and Gabbana designer coat worn by Emmy Award winner Susan Lucci (Erica Kane of "All My Children")

* Two extremely rare autographed mugs from "The View," signed by Season 10 hosts Barbara Walters, Rosie O'Donnell, Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Wardrobe from "The View," including current moderator Whoopi Goldberg's silver clogs and gold converse sneakers

In 2008, ABC Daytime plans to partner with BCEFA for the fourth annual "ABC Daytime Salutes Broadway Cares Equity Fights Aids" benefit on Broadway. To date, this annual event has raised approximately $750,000 for the organization.
