NEW YORK, Sept 20, 2007 /PRNewswire via COMTEX News Network/ -- Lauren Conrad, star of MTV's hit show "The Hills," will debut her much anticipated clothing line, Lauren Conrad Collection, in MTV Networks Virtual Hills on Monday, September 24th with a special appearance in-world.
Lauren Conrad's chic fashion has inspired legions of young women to emulate the aspiring designer's casual-luxe California style. Following the debut of her real-world line at the PROJECT Trade Show in Las Vegas last month, fans in Virtual Hills now will have several virtual items based on Conrad's real-world line, including the Sophia dress, the Jillian dress and more, to show off on their avatars. And it doesn't stop there - fans will be able to simply click on the virtual item they like and immediately go online to purchase the real-world item for themselves.
The Fall Preview line of Lauren Conrad Collection is currently available online at www.shoplaurenconrad.com. The line will be expanded in the coming months and the Spring 2008 collection be available in specialty boutiques and national retailers in early 2008. Featuring her signature style of flirty dresses and chic separates, Lauren Conrad Collection will take self-expression in and out of Virtual Hills to new heights.
Create Your Own "Hills" Stories
Beginning this week, fans will be asked a new question about their lives every other week that mirror the events unfolding on "The Hills" on-air. The community will bring their stories to life, submitting screenshots or machinima footage, and vote on the best submissions throughout the week. Winners will be announced on the same day that the next question is posed and receive virtual and real-world prizes, including an autographed "The Hills" DVD, a $50 gift certificate, virtual Team Heidi/Team Lauren t-shirts, and a virtual private party with a guest band appearance.
Graduate and Celebrate
On Thursday, September 27th fans can join in the festivities as the cast of Newport Harbor celebrate their graduation with a special party at Sejours in Virtual Newport Harbor. Get decked out in your best and celebrate with Grant from the show.
In addition, Virtual Newport Harbor will crown the avatar who has attended the most parties in Virtual Newport Harbor with a $2,000 grand prize (in real money that is).
