The Nationals will recognize a number of former Washington Senators; including Hank Allen, Dick Bosman, Wayne Comer, Mike Epstein, Ron Hanson, Chuck Hinton, Frank Howard, Don Loun and Fred Valentine. The former players will be introduced by former Washington Senators public address announcers, Charlie Brotman and Phil Hochberg. Frank Howard is slated to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Nationals television broadcaster Don Sutton will serve as Master of Ceremonies for a post-game celebration immediately following the final out. Nationals players and mascots will toss promotional items into the stands while fans enjoy a 2007 season recap video. Additionally, manager Manny Acta will address the crowd and thank fans for their support throughout the year.

To close out the post-game ceremonies, the winners of the "Jerseys Off Their Backs" raffle will be brought to the field to meet the player whose jersey they have won and to claim their prize. Throughout the week, Nationals fans will have the opportunity to purchase $10 raffle tickets at the Nationals Community Relations Booth, located on the 300 level behind Section 319, from gates open until the end of the second inning. Raffle tickets will also be sold on Sunday from gates open through the bottom of the fifth inning at all gates, outside of the PNC Diamond Club (located behind Section 301), the Nationals Community Booth and the Home Plate Bar (located behind Section 219). All proceeds from the raffle will benefit The Washington Nationals Dream Foundation. Fans must be present to win. Following the jersey presentation, home plate will be dug up to be transported to Nationals Park at a later date. The festivities will conclude with a video tribute to RFK Stadium along with a fireworks display.

The Nationals will move into their new ballpark in April 2008. A 41,222 seat venue, Nationals Park boasts a state-of-the-art video and audio system, along with some of the finest entertainment options in Major League Baseball.
