Milwaukee Brewers Want to "Raise the Roof" against the St. Louis Cardinals
World Famous Klement's Racing Sausages take to the streets to help fans "raise the roof" against Cardinals
09/19/2007, MILWAUKEE -- With the final 2007 homestand only days away, the Milwaukee Brewers are announcing plans for a "Raise the Roof" promotion when the St. Louis Cardinals visit Miller Park next Monday through Wednesday.
The goal of the "Raise the Roof" promotion is to give the team the best possible home field advantage in a series that is likely to be key to the Brewers postseason push.
The fun starts this Thursday at noon when the World Famous Klement's Racing Sausages will visit downtown Milwaukee to distribute "Raise the Roof" items to fans during the lunch hour. Then next Monday through Wednesday, fans attending the three games are encouraged to visit remote locations outside of Miller Park to pick up complimentary "Raise the Roof" placards to display from their seats. The remote locations will be at the Miller Park Home Plate Gate and at the end of the pedestrian bridge that crosses Miller Park Way.
"Of all the ballparks in Major League Baseball, Miller Park has been one of the most difficult places for visiting teams to play in 2007," said Rick Schlesinger, Brewers Executive Vice President - Business Operations. "There is still relatively good ticket availability for the Cardinals series, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday. The fans have been instrumental this year in creating a great environment for our players to succeed, and we're looking to ramp this up even more as we play this critical series."
