Texas Instruments Elects Two New Vice Presidents
DALLAS (September 18, 2007) – Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) announced today two vice president appointments, expanding leadership and establishing a management structure geared at further strengthening the company’s focus on inventing technologies that support customers’ needs.
Ellen Barker has been promoted to TI vice president and controller of High Performance Analog. In this role, Barker is responsible for managing the finance and operations for the High Performance Analog business unit, including operations management, profit and loss, capital, overhead accountability, and senior level management and customer interface. Throughout her 23 year career at TI, Barker has held numerous operational and financial positions, served on various teams, and participates in the mentor program. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Texas and a master’s degree from the University of Dallas.
Remi El-Ouazzane has been appointed TI vice president and general manager of Cellular and Connectivity System Solutions. He will lead TI’s efforts in the 2.5G, 3G and mobile connectivity solutions markets, including overseeing business development, strategic marketing, product management, and systems engineering and architecture. During his ten years with the company, El-Ouazzane has held a variety of positions directing business and product development. Prior to this position, he was based in France managing TI’s 2.5G business unit. El-Ouazzane holds a bachelor’s degree from Institut d’Etudes Politiques in France, a master’s from Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble and he completed the General Manager Executive Program at Harvard Business School.
