Ecuador's CableNet Selects Tellabs
Service for Sure: New network provides fast, reliable business services
Sept. 18, 2007, Naperville, Ill. — When processing a consumer's credit card, trading on the stock market, or sending medical records, businesses need fast, ultra-reliable data services. Businesses in Ecuador depend on CableNet, a division of Grupo TVCable, to provide the highest quality services, especially for important business transactions. That's why CableNet chose Tellabs to create and deploy its new MetroEthernet network.
"Our customers can't afford lost or delayed information," said Jorge Schwartz, chief executive officer, Grupo TVCable. "With Tellabs, we can provide cost-effective, carrier Ethernet services and assure strict service quality across the entire network."
Everything's for Sure
The Tellabs® 8600 managed edge system and the Tellabs® 8000 network manager, part of the Tellabs® AssuredEthernetSM solution, enable CableNet to guarantee quality of service for its customers. The Tellabs solution increases network bandwidth and enables CableNet to offer a variety of technologies, such as DSL and WIMAX. So customers get the information they want, when and how they want it.
Tellabs Global Services assisted CableNet with installation, provisioning and training. The services team also helped with network operation for the first six weeks to ensure everything ran smoothly.
"Businesses need data services that are as sure as dial tone," said Tarcisio Ribeiro, vice president of sales for Tellabs' Latin America and Caribbean region. "CableNet's new network ensures guaranteed services so all data reaches its destination."
