Baltimore Orioles' Dave Trembley, Daniel Cabrera Disciplined
09/13/2007 -- Baltimore Orioles manager Dave Trembley and pitcher Daniel Cabrera have been disciplined for separate, recent incidents. Bob Watson, Vice President of On-Field Operations for Major League Baseball, made the announcement.
Dave Trembley has been suspended for three games and fined an undisclosed amount for his inappropriate actions during the bottom of the fourth inning of his Club's game against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim last night at Camden Yards.
Daniel Cabrera has been suspended for six games and fined an undisclosed amount for intentionally throwing a pitch at Dustin Pedroia of the Boston Red Sox and for his inappropriate and aggressive actions during the bench-clearing incident that followed during the top of the fourth inning of the game between the two Clubs on Friday, September 7th at Camden Yards.
Dave Trembley will begin to serve his suspension tonight, when the Baltimore Orioles host the Los Angeles Angels. Daniel Cabrera has filed an appeal. Thus, his suspension will be held in abeyance until the process is complete.
