Texas Rangers Recall RHP Armando Galarraga
Right-hander split season at Double and Triple-A
09/12/2007, ARLINGTON -- Texas Rangers general manager Jon Daniels announced today the club has recalled RHP Armando Galarraga from Triple-A Oklahoma.
Armando Galarraga split the 2007 season between Double-A Frisco and Oklahoma. He made 4 appearances and starts at Oklahoma and was 2-2, 4.74. He threw a 7.0 -inning complete game shutout at Nashville on Aug. 25.
He spent most of the season at Frisco where he was 9-6, 4.02 in 23 appearance (22 starts). He had two complete game shutouts at that level - a 9.0-inning effort at Arkansas on July 4 and a 7.0-inning win at San Antonio on July 21. He was fourth in the Texas League with 114 strikeouts and his two complete games tied for the league lead.
He will wear #46.
