Final Cleveland Indians Homestand of 2007 Begins This Friday

Magic number to clinch postseason spot is 13

09/11/2007, CLEVELAND -- The Cleveland Indians, currently leading the American League's Central Division, have just 9 regular season home games remaining in the 2007 Major League Baseball season. MAGIC NUMBER IS 13 to guarantee a post-season playoff spot.

The action-packed final homestand features 3 teams in a 3-game series each- the Tribe plays host to the Kansas City Royals at 7:05PM beginning September 14. The exciting last matchup with the division rivaled Detroit Tigers follows beginning Monday, September 17 at 7:05PM and includes a 12:05 day game on Wednesday, September 19. The homestand concludes with Oakland September 21-23.

To celebrate the Tribe's chase for the postseason, fans are encouraged to WEAR RED to show TRIBE PRIDE during the Detroit Series September 17-18-19.

This fan focused homestand will be highlighted by: FIREWORKS September 14 & 21; HAFNER WWE BOBBLEHEAD September 15, courtesy of Medical Mutual; NICKELODEON'S "SLIME ACROSS AMERICA" with appearance from JIMMY NEUTRON September 16; and the final DOLLAR HOT DOG NIGHT September 18.

Cleveland Indians Player Nominated for 2007 Roberto Clemente Award:
Travis "Pronk" Hafner is the Tribe's nominee for the 2007 Roberto Clemente Award, which recognizes the player who best exemplifies the game of baseball, sportsmanship, community involvement and the individual's contribution to his team. Pronk will be recognized for his efforts during pregame ceremonies on Sept. 14.

Friday, SEPTEMBER 14 @7:05PM- The first 2,000 Kids 14 & Under will get a Red Clown Nose, courtesy of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey®.
