09/11/2007, FLUSHING -- North Shore Animal League America and the New York Mets today announced Dog Night at Shea, Friday, Sept. 14 when the New York Mets host the Philadelphia Phillies at 7:10 p.m.

Dogs and their owners can arrive at 5:15 p.m. for a parade around Shea's warning track before taking in the game from Shea's left field picnic area. The League's Rescue Rover will be at the stadium for fans looking to adopt a homeless puppy, kitten, dog or cat.

Tickets are priced at $34 for humans and $5 for dogs, with dog ticket proceeds, as well as a portion of the human tickets, benefiting North Shore Animal League America. Fans can also obtain one of the League's new giant blue foam paws to help show their support of both the home team and North Shore Animal League America.

Attendees are asked to make sure that their pet is:

• Dog and family friendly
• Leashed at all times, in and around Shea Stadium, with the leash no longer than 4-6 feet
• Healthy and fully vaccinated, including rabies vaccination

Water will be made available for all dogs and the picnic area of the stadium will be set up to accommodate all visitors and their pets. Owners are encouraged to bring food or snacks for their dogs.
