Governor Charlie Crist Appoints Three to the Florida Violent Crime and Drug Control Council
September 10, 2007, TALLAHASSEE – Florida Governor Charlie Crist today announced the following appointments:
FLORIDA VIOLENT CRIME AND DRUG CONTROL COUNCIL
Norman Botsford, 63, of Gainesville, chief of police, City of Gainesville, succeeding Samuel Williams, appointed for a term beginning September 10, 2007, and ending June 30, 2009.
James “Jim” Coats, 63, of Clearwater Beach, Sheriff, Pinellas County, succeeding Robert Parker, appointed for a term beginning September 10, 2007, and ending June 30, 2009.
Ben Johnson, 57, of Glenwood, Sheriff, Volusia County, succeeding Robert White, appointed for a term beginning September 10, 2007, and ending June 30, 2009.
