Iams Friends for Life Dog Day

09/09/2007, CINCINNATI -- The $22 ticket packages for Iams Friends For Life Dog Day have sold out.

The Cincinnati Reds and Iams will welcome fans and their dogs at Wednesday's 7:10 p.m. game against the St. Louis Cardinals at Great American Ball Park.

The sold-out Iams Friends For Life Dog Day section near the Fan Zone will include about 350 dogs. Only dogs with tickets already purchased will be admitted to the ballpark.

The special ticket packages include field box admission for a fan and one pet, and the dogs will receive an Iams bandana, Iams Savory Sauce samples and Iams Healthy Naturals samples. Each $22 ticket purchased included a $2 donation to SPCA Cincinnati.

Tickets in most other seating sections remain available.

The festivities will include:

• A pre-game pet parade on the warning track.

• Prizes for best dog tricks, for best-dressed Reds dog and for largest and smallest dogs.

• The Iams Dog Zone pet expo will be set up in the Fan Zone.

• In the Iams Dog Zone, dogs will be available for adoption.

• Fans can sign up their dogs to participate in the "First Fetch," courtesy of Iams and Kroger.

• The first 5,000 pet owners entering the park (with or without a dog) will receive a squeaky toy from Iams, courtesy of the Reds.

• From 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., Reds broadcaster Thom Brennaman will host the activies in the Iams Dog Zone.

Tickets can be picked up on Wednesday beginning at 5:00 p.m. at the Iams Friends For Life Dog Day will call table located at the ballpark's right field entrance at Main Street and Mehring Way.

All dogs must be on a leash (no retractable leashes). Required vaccinations include rabies, DHLP, parvo and bordatella.
