09/07/2007, MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Twins today announced ticket prices for the 2008 season including plans to once again offer more than 9,000 seats at just $7 for most games.

Cited in April of this year by Team Marketing Report for having the American League's fifth lowest average ticket price ($19.27 - well below the current MLB average of $22.69), the Twins remain committed to providing fans throughout the region with affordable family entertainment.

In 2008, the Twins will continue a variable pricing structure, with tickets purchased as part of a season package discounted $1 to $10 from the single-game price for 72 of 81 home games including opening day. Season tickets will be discounted $6 to $15 from the single-game price for nine Premium Games including scheduled home contests versus the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and Milwaukee Brewers. The Twins will again offer a variety of season ticket options including 81-game, 41-game, 20-game plans as well as the popular Flex 40 ticket package. In addition to a host of season ticket holder benefits, most season ticket packages provide fans with priority in terms of securing seats in the new Twins ballpark. The 2008 ticket pricing structure is as follows:

"The Twins organization is proud of our history of providing the region's most affordable family entertainment," Twins President Dave St. Peter said. "The 2008 ticket price plan will maintain that accessibility while also providing necessary resources aimed at helping maintain a competitive ballclub for the 2008 season and beyond."

In addition to the standard ticket pricing structure outlined above, the Twins will bring back a variety of familyfocused ticket programs and daily ticket specials in 2008. Details surrounding these programs will be announced in the near future.
