Tampa Bay Devil Rays' Carl Crawford Disciplined by Major League Baseball
09/05/2007 -- Carl Crawford of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount for his inappropriate actions during the bottom of the third inning of his Club's Sept. 3rd game against the Baltimore Orioles at Tropicana Field.
Bob Watson, Vice President of On-Field Operations for Major League Baseball, made the announcement.
Carl Crawford will appeal his suspension, which had been scheduled to begin tonight, when the Tampa Bay Devil Rays host the Baltimore Orioles. Thus, his suspension will be held in abeyance until the process is complete.
