Toyota Joins Efforts to Collect Food for Philabundance at Philadelphia Phillies "Goya Latino Family Celebration" on Sept. 7

09/05/2007, The local Tri-State Toyota Dealers will join the efforts of the Phillies and Goya Foods, Inc. in collecting food for Philabundance during the Goya Latino Family Celebration on Friday Sept. 7, at Citizens Bank Park. The event, which pays tribute to Hispanic Heritage Month, will feature a fan food drive of Goya food products with donations given to needed areas in the Latino community.

As part of the partnership, Toyota Dealers will aid in the Goya-hosted food collection by supplying Toyota Tundra trucks at entrance gates for items to be donated and stored. In addition, Toyota Dealers will deliver the food in their vehicles to Philabundance. Plus, the local Tri-State Toyota Dealers Association will donate a substantial amount of food products for the cause. Goya Foods, Inc. has also pledged that it will give a minimum of 5,000 pounds of food to Philabundance.

The Goya Latino Family Celebration will also feature various musical performances, foods with Latin flavor, and a special ticket discount before and during the 7:05 p.m. Philadelphia Phillies - Marlins game. This is the sixth year the Philadelphia Phillies will host the celebration.

GOYA LATINO FAMILY CELEBRATION HIGHLIGHTS:

The celebration begins on the field at 6:30 p.m. with highlights including:

• Music and dancing by Bachata favorite Toby Love and the phenomenal Fuego Dance Company.
• Tribute of 21 flags of Latino countries presented by Concilio and the Fuego Dance Company.
• The presentation of the Phillies 2007 Latino Legend award to Larry Rojas.
• Robert Unanue, President of Goya Foods, Inc., will throw out the first ceremonial pitch.
• Performances by the K Company Dance team with the Phillie Phanatic during the fifth and seventh innings.
• Authentic Goya food will be available on the main concourse in the Left Field Plaza.
• PLUS...Entertainment at entrance gates: Fans will be greeted with entertainment celebrating the Latino culture: First Base Gate - Salsa & Cha-Cha Band; Third Base Gate - Bomba Band; Left Field Gate & Right Field Gate - Salsa Couples.
