Bats of Tampa Bay Devil Rays' Akinori Iwamura, New York Yankees' Alex Rodriguez Inspected
09/04/2007 -- Major League Baseball announced today that examinations have been performed on the bats of Akinori Iwamura of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and Alex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees following the requests made by the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Devil Rays, respectively, during Saturday's game at Yankee Stadium.
Both bats were in full compliance with Major League Baseball's bat regulations, and neither bat showed any signs of tampering and/or alteration. The bats will be returned to Akinori Iwamura and Alex Rodriguez promptly.
