Aug 31, 2007 -- Boston, MA – Today, Governor Mitt Romney issued the following statement on Senator John Warner's (R-VA) announcement of his retirement:
"Ann and I wish Senator Warner the best during his remaining time in Congress and in his continued service to his community, his state and our nation. Over his nearly thirty years in the United States Senate, Senator Warner has been a strong and distinguished voice for the people of Virginia. He has given much to our nation and today all Americans can be thankful for his service to our country."
