Kennedy On Warner Announcement
August 31, 2007 -- WASHINGTON, DC— Today, Senator Edward M. Kennedy released the following statement in response to Senator John Warner’s announcement that he will not seek another term in office.
“John Warner is a true American patriot and has spent his life serving the public good. He was an eloquent champion for our men and women in uniform, and commanded the respect and admiration of the entire Senate. Our national security—and our country—are better off because of John’s service. I look forward to continuing to work with John in the Senate, particularly as we confront tremendous challenges in the Middle East, and wish him the very best in the days ahead.”
