Rookie Boston Red Sox Pitcher Clay Buchholz Tosses No-Hitter
02 September 2007 (VOA Sports) -- Rookie Boston Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz threw a no-hitter in just his second major league start, giving Boston a 10-0 win over the Baltimore Orioles.
Hours after being called up from the minor leagues Saturday, the 23-year-old Clay Buchholz baffled the Baltimore Oriole batters.
He becomes the 21st rookie ever to toss a no-hitter, and just the third since 1900 to accomplish the feat in his first or second career start.
