Walk of Fame, Pete Vuckovich Bobblehead and Milwaukee Braves Nesting Doll Set Highlight Milwaukee Brewers 6 Game Homestand

08/31/2007, MILWAUKEE -- The Milwaukee Brewers open a six-game homestand at Miller Park on Friday, August 31 as the Pittsburgh Pirates visit Milwaukee for a three-game weekend series, from August 31 - September 2, followed by a three-game set against the Houston Astros September 3 - 5. The Milwaukee Brewers enter the final month of the regular season with 17 consecutive games within the N.L. Central division, including 15 total home contests during September.

Friday night's series opener will mark the 11th Retro Friday game of the season and all fans will receive a Pete Vuckovich collectible 5-inch bobblehead featuring the Milwaukee Brewers former pitcher, compliments of American Family Insurance, Sentry Foods, and the Wisconsin Lottery. The majority of the collectibles will include Vuckovich in the '82 pinstripe uniform while 5,000 of the dolls will showcase the powder blue uniform.

Prior to Friday's game, the Milwaukee Brewers will honor former Milwaukee Braves players Eddie Mathews and Warren Spahn and former Braves General Manager John Quinn with induction into the Miller Park Walk of Fame. The families of Mathews, Quinn and Spahn will participate in an on-field ceremony at Miller Park prior to the Brewers game against the Pirates as the Brewers unveil the newest plaques on the Walk of Fame, which will appear outside the ballpark (on the outer concourse in right-centerfield).

Fans will also have an opportunity to meet their favorite Brewers as part of U.S. Bank Autograph Fridays. Six to eight Brewers players and coaches will autograph photo cards prior to the game. In addition, Friday night games at Miller Park feature a wide array of activities and special savings for everyone. Fans can enjoy a traditional Icelandic Brand Fish Fry each Friday at select concession stands throughout the Miller Park concourse. Plus, with each purchase, fans will receive a coupon for 50% savings on a Terrace Reserved ticket good for any other Friday night game.

Friday is also College Night where college students can receive Terrace Reserved and Bleacher tickets (excluding the Miller Lite Beerpen) for half price with proof of their current college ID. Finally, fans 21 and older can be part of the Miller Lite Beerpen in the Right Field Loge Bleachers. With the purchase of a $16 ticket in this area, adult fans will receive a complimentary Brewers t-shirt.

On Saturday, the Brewers and Pirates will play the middle game of the weekend series, beginning at 6:05 p.m. before the two teams wrap up the series on Sunday with a 1:05 p.m. scheduled start. On Sunday, all fans in attendance will receive a collectible Milwaukee Braves Nesting Doll Set, featuring Hank Aaron, Eddie Mathews, and Warren Spahn, compliments of the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. Aaron, Johnny Logan and Felix Mantilla will also be on hand to take part in a pre-game field ceremony recognizing the World Champion 1957 Braves team.

Sunday's game also features Badger Mutual Insurance Family Day where fans may purchase (at least one day in advance) at the Box Office four Terrace Reserved Tickets, four hot dogs and four small sodas for just $38. Each additional person is $9.50. In addition, kids ages 6-13 can register for Culver's Major League Moment at participating Culver's Restaurants. Winners appear alongside a Brewers player during the playing of the National Anthem. Following the afternoon game, kids 16 and under can run the bases at Miller Park, compliments of Great Clips.

The Houston Astros make their third and final trip to Miller Park with a matinee game on Labor Day (Mon., Sept. 3), starting at 1:05 p.m. The first 10,000 kids 16 and under will receive a pack of Brewers baseball cards, compliments of Topps. Monday is also Time Warner Cable Customer Appreciation Day and all TWC customers can take advantage of great savings with a "Buy 1, Get 1 Free" Terrace Level ticket voucher received through the mail. Vouchers may be redeemed at the Miller Park ticket window or mailed to the Brewers ticket office (offer valid while supplies last).

All fans have the opportunity to receive a free Terrace Level ticket by completing a bp C'mon Back Card with six purchases of eight gallons of gas or more t participating bp stations, subject to availability. This offer applies for both Tuesday and Wednesday's game.

Wednesday's homestand finale is another great opportunity for fans to receive great savings on select seat locations as part of the Valvoline Instant Oil Change 4 Pack. Along with the purchase of two Terrace Reserved seats, fans will receive two free Terrace Reserved Seats with the use of the Instant 4 Pack coupon.
