Texas Rangers Return to Arlington for Six-Game Homestand
08/31/2007, ARLINGTON, Texas -- Following a quick trip to California for three games, the Texas Rangers return to Rangers Ballpark in Arlington for games against the Kansas City Royals (Sept. 3-5) and Oakland Athletics (Sept. 7-9)
Hispanic Heritage Night festivities on Saturday Sept. 8 highlight the 12th homestand of the season and feature a post game fireworks show, sponsored by AT&T. The celebration also includes Mariachi Michoacán, Latin Music Ensemble from Booker T Washington High School, and Ballet Folklorico de Fort Worth performing on the concourse prior to the start of the game. In a special pre-game ceremony, the Rangers and AT&T will honor Hispanic players and coaches from both the Rangers and the Athletics with a video, awards, and presentation of flags that represent the players' native countries. The first 25,000 through the gates that night will receive a poster commemorating the event, compliments of AT&T. Former Little League World Series Champions Angel Macias and Jose "Pepe" Maiz will also be on hand that night for the festivities.
Also, $2 T-Shirt Tuesday is back with lots of styles to choose from, Wednesday is Dollar Hot Dog Night and on Sunday, the kids get ice cream for just a buck.
Beginning Monday, Sept. 3, all night games for the remainder of the season will return to a 7:05 p.m. start, with Sunday games beginning at 2:05 p.m. Good seats for all games still remain and can be purchased by calling 972-RANGERS or logging on to texasrangers.com.

• Marlon Byrd will participate in a pre-game ceremony with the FSN viewer his 6th inning grand slam on August 22nd made a $25,000 Sonic Slam Inning winner.

• It's Dollar Hot Dog Night! Sponsored by 96.3 KSCS.
• Ozarka Website Wednesday provides half-price tickets in select Lower, Club, and Upper Level sections when purchased on texasrangers.com. The offer is presented by 98.7 KLUV.
• It's Dr Pepper Autograph Wednesday. Select current and former players will sign on the concourse prior to the game.
• The Rangers, along with Major League Baseball, will celebrate Roberto Clemente Day. Michael Young will be recognized as the club's local recipient of the Roberto Clemente Award for his sportsmanship, community involvement, and positive team contributions.

• Police and Firefighter Night at Rangers Ballpark. There will be a special presentation on field prior to the game.

• Ozarka Walk in the Park, a two-mile walkathon benefiting the River Legacy Foundation, will take place prior to the game. Participants will be recognized on the field during pre-game ceremonies.
