Aug. 29, 2007 -- WASHINGTON - NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., has exercised an option to continue an existing contract with Science Applications International Corporation, or SAIC, of San Diego, to provide information technology services to NASA.
The option is valued at $205.9 million. It continues efforts under the Unified NASA Information Technology Services, or UNITeS, contract that was awarded to SAIC on Jan. 1, 2004. This is the second of two priced options and extends performance under the contract through Dec. 31, 2008.

The option also includes a range of services in support of the entire agency, including the Integrated Enterprise Management Program, wide area network, information technology security and digital television.
The UNITeS contract has an approximate total value, including options, of $956 million.
