Minnesota Twins Announce First Responders Day, Monday, Sept. 3
08/28/2007, MINNEAPOLIS - ST. PAUL -- The tragedy of the I-35W bridge collapse and devastating flooding in southeast once again highlights the important work of our first responder community. The Minnesota Twins want to say thank you to those who have responded to and continue to work on those tragic events.
The Minnesota Twins today announced Monday, Sept. 3 will be "First Responders Day" when the Twins host the Cleveland Indians in a 1:10 game. Any law enforcement member, firefighter, paramedic, and other response and recovery worker will be able to purchase tickets for $1 each (maximum of four).
Tickets may be purchased at a designated tent located on the Metrodome Plaza beginning at 10 a.m. on the day of game only. Proper identification is required to take advantage of the offer.
There will be a pregame ceremony including a parade of First Responders. Anyone interested in participating in the parade should meet at 11:45 a.m. outside the field ramp (beyond the guard shack) in the southeast corner of the Metrodome.
